Icyo gihe HCR yohereje Karekezi mu nkambi ya Kakuma yanga kuyijyamo abeshya ko iyo nkambi irimo abahutu benshi bashobora kumugirira nabi; ashobora kuba yaratinye ko ashobora guhuriramo n’impunzi zimuzi zarokotse ubwicanyi bwe. Emmanuel Karekezi yahisemo kujya mu nkambi ya Dadabu irimo abasomaliya benshi.. Kuba muri iyo nkambi byamufashishe gutegura inzira yamugejeje muri Australia mu mwaka w’2004.
